Hard boards are 6×6, with more taps stacked on top of each other. Tiles of 4 and 5 are common, and empty tiles are rarer, so there are fewer walls to lean on.

Tips for 6×6
Do the total check first: add up the board and divide by 5. On 6×6 it tells you roughly how many taps you are planning.
Work in from two opposite corners. Each side gives you forced taps, and they meet in the middle.
A tile showing 5 with small neighbours needs most of its taps on itself. Tap it early: it can't strand anything while its neighbours are still high.
