How to play the forehead game

  1. Pick a deck. Bollywood movies, cricket, desi food, shaadi, festivals or one of 30+ others.
  2. Phone on your forehead. Hold it sideways with the screen facing your friends. The round starts on its own when the phone is upright.
  3. Friends give clues. They can talk without saying the word, or act it out like dumb charades if you choose "Ishaare se".
  4. Tilt down when you get it, tilt up to pass. Score as many as you can before the clock runs out, then pass the phone.

If you've played Heads Up, it's the same idea, free in your browser with Indian decks. No app, no sign-up.

Tips for giving clues

  • Don't say any part of the word, and no "sounds like" in Bol ke mode.
  • For movies, describe the story or hum a famous song from it.
  • Stuck after ten seconds? The guesser should pass. Speed wins.
  • Big group? Make two teams and take turns. The board below keeps each round's score.

Decks

12 film worlds from Bollywood to Disney, 22 word decks from desi food and cricket to shaadi and hostel life, and a Sab kuch mix of everything. See every deck and its words.

Questions

Why doesn't tilting work on my phone?

On iPhone, tap Allow when Tilak asks for motion access. If your browser blocks motion sensors, choose Tap: tap the right side of the screen when you get it and the left side to pass.

Do I need an app or an account?

No. Tilak runs in your phone's browser. Add it to your home screen if you want it to open like an app.

How many people can play?

Two is enough: one guesses, one gives clues. It's best with four to ten, either everyone for themselves or in two teams.

Will I see the same words again?

Not until you've gone through the deck. Tilak remembers which words you've played on this phone.
