Family in another city?

Everyone in one room

One phone, passed around. Good for after the puja, between card games, or when the kids get bored.

Family in other cities

Play your turn, send the link on WhatsApp, and they play theirs. Or open a live room and play together.

Festival word decks

Keep it on theme. Pick one of these decks inside the game, or open the list to read the words out yourself.

A 30-minute game plan

  1. Warm up with Tilak (10 min). Pass the phone around the circle. The Tyohaar deck is easy for elders and kids alike.
  2. Charades in two teams (15 min). Elders against the kids works well. Ishaara keeps the time and the score.
  3. End with Bahurupiya (5 min a round). Everyone sees the word on the same phone, one at a time. Then talk, accuse, and vote.
  4. Next morning, send a Jinx link to the cousins who couldn't come.

Questions

Do we need to download an app?

No. Every game opens in the phone's browser. There is no sign-up and nothing to install.

How can we play with relatives in another city?

Jinx, Three Strokes, Hideout and Fair Share work by link: play your turn, send the link on WhatsApp, and they play theirs. You can also open a live room and play at the same time.

Which game is best for elders and young kids together?

Tilak. One person guesses and everyone else just has to describe the word, so nobody is left out.

Are these games free?

Yes, all of them are free.
