How 4-letter mode works

• 5 guesses per word. Type any real 4-letter word and press Enter.
• Green means right letter, right spot. Yellow means the letter is in the word somewhere else. Grey means it isn't in the word.
• Endless rounds. Solve it and the next word starts. Fail one and you lose a life. Three lives per run.
• Points. Every solve scores 400 points, plus 50 for each guess you didn't need and a bonus for long streaks.

Why 4 letters is harder than it looks

Short words leave fewer clues. With only four tiles, a guess like BAKE can match CAKE, LAKE, MAKE, RAKE, TAKE and WAKE, so you have one guess fewer to tell them apart. Spend an early guess on letters that split those families, like a word with C, L, M and T.
