How to play
- Pick a set: स्वर (अ to अः), व्यंजन 1 (क to ण) or व्यंजन 2 (त to ज्ञ). The daily game picks one for you.
- Press Start. The letters are shuffled on the board.
- Tap them in order: अ, आ, इ, ई… The box at the top shows which letter comes next.
- A wrong tap adds 2 seconds. Beat your best time!

For parents and teachers
Children usually learn the varnamala by reciting it, which practises the order but not recognising each letter on its own. Finding letters on a shuffled board makes them look at every shape, and the clock turns it into a game they ask to play again. Learn mode reads each letter and its picture word aloud.
Questions
How many letters are in the Hindi varnamala?
Most schools teach 13 swar (अ to अः) and 33 vyanjan (क to ह), plus the three joined letters क्ष, त्र and ज्ञ. Some books count 11 swar or add ड़ and ढ़, so your child's book may differ slightly.
What age is this for?
From about age 4, once children have started learning letters, up to Class 2. Older kids enjoy racing the clock too.
Why can't I hear the letters?
Check that the speaker button at the top is on and the volume is up. On an iPhone, also flip the silent switch off if the letters still don't play.
